What was the reason that made you start editing??

The term "AMV" was unknown to me until this summer when I watched a MEP by OnePieceStudios.....When I watched that mep I decided to get into the editing community and have fun with people who share the same interests ^^ I wanted to entertain people with my work and I think that Im actually doing it :D I even inspired a kid to start editing ^.^ That was my greatest achievement so far since I got into the editing community and I want to keep inspiring people to start editing xD Too bad most of the editors from my generation want to have subs :/ So my question is...What made you start editing??? xD

I was editing videos (in a far more amateur way...) since 2004-5 with Windows Movie Maker mostly with recorded footage with my family.

One day (or actually night) in 2008 i met TrafalgarLaw7 in an MMORPG called MU. He called me "malakas" without knowing me because he suspected that i was greek since i was in a greek guild... (his username was Rob_Lucci7 or sth like that) When i saw that name i knew we would get along well! Started talking about One Piece.. then Galactik Football.. then i learnt that he was playing DotA as well... we started playing dota together and another night back then he told me to make a collab... And woooosh that's how it started. Though i was busy throughout the year with school and activities and in my free time i was playing dota. but for 2 years every summer i was making a full amv ;) and 2 years ago i started editing regularly!

Haha "Malakas" is the key work for meeting people xD So you were editing footage before you started editing AMV :) Sounds awesome :D

Dis:

After watching hundreds of regular, noobish AMVs back in the day, this was the first "advanced" one I watched. I thought it was pretty god-like back then, made me realise editing isn't just about connecting scenes, but enhancing them as well. Had to try it out for myself.

I was watching Amvs pretty much from 2011, but didn't really edit until February 2013. What made want to edit were two specific Amvs. First one is Animated's Mateotis:

which i re-discovered in February 2013 ( I had seen it when it had came out but then for some reason i couldn't find it :P ) and second one is Maik's I Can't Wait:
So i asked myself what genre i wanted to edit and i picked action cause it seemed easier to me xD and here we are :D

The Mateotis was really enjoyable and [ENP] I Can't Wait was the first ENP project/AMV I watched... I was really impressed and ever since then I have been stalking the production.... bewareeee... :')

well. I've been watching amvs since 2007. Didn't know anything about them or even the difference between SVS - Spoil and Naruto vs pain time of dying. Until I found out that my girlfriend (or at least former one haha) loved that stuff. BAM I got myself a vegas 11 and spent the summer of 2012 learning how to use it.

I watched amvs ever since I found youtube mainly because it's how I found music. After about 3 or so years of watching dreadful wmm three days grace amvs I finally got a laptop that could handle imovie hd (yeah I live in the stone age) and started creating. From there I edited imovie like crazy, joined a studio (thus finding Gab), started using premiere and then just kept trying to get better from there. That was a small portion of my biography which is titled THE ROAD TO MAKING ART.

I used to make some dragonball amvs with wmm many years ago because a friend of my cousin used to make amvs (much better than what I used to make of course)...but it was nothing...just scenes one after the other while trying to keep a flow (failing terribly though)
Some years later I went to preveza and met a guy named dinos.He liked animes as much as me and we kinda got along.Don't remember how exactly but we decided to start making amvs just for the fun of it.So we did and here we are :p

well, I started amv editing two years ago :D at this time i wanted to reach GregzAnimationz (as he was the king for me)
and surpass him^^ and I what i really wanted (and still do) is to reach a level when all the people which will be viewing my AMV's
will get chills ^^ (even non-anime related people) in these 2 years some other things emerged into my resolve into beeing an AMV editor...
First of all, the feelings I get from an anime... You all know that... ANIME are what made us to be here now ;) and made us what we have become
today, in a certain way, personally I think anime changed the whole me, or hmm better , anime made my personality complete :D
and also it introduced me to Madness ;) <3
