woahaaa great work my friend!
i prefer the 1st version a lot more since it's not that detailed but if you could change that bright part next to the text (the right one) and make something like what you did in the second one it would be awesome!
both are great though!
As for the avatars i will contact the members to see what they want since they seem too shy to talk to you :P (i don't think i need a new avatar do i? :P this one is awesome already!)
