Post your 3D animations, discuss about 3D, post other cool stuff might see on youtube or elsewhere, share your projects, models, materials etc. etc. with the rest of us :3
Here I go c:
This is my first full 3D animation, worked on my modelling and texturing a LOT and I'm really proud of it.
video:
Project information:
Softwares used: Cinema4D, After Effects CS6, Photoshop CS6, ZBrush (just a tiny bit) Everything was modeled in cinema4d, Shaded, lit, textured and rendered in Vray Color Correction and DOF in After Effects Spent ~30 hours in 3 months on it (most of it was done in the last 2 weeks, lol) I used many tutorials for the modelling (ex: How to model mountains etc.) Project file is 50-60 GB I'd happily answer any other question :3
And this is some of my favorite 3D animations.

Made in one day for a human modeling homework.
My inspiration was Charles Barkley in his prime youth, still i had to add a bit more muscle since the homework wanted it. He was a really good basket player, and even got featured in space jam. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpWgLE7Bl-4
Basket ball Jones, i got a basketball Jones...:

Looks really good! maybe lacks a bit detail and is too smooth but for a one day work, it's an excellent work.

thanks man.
heres something else (damn i prefer zbrush! lol)
Turing table animation for a texturing mid-term project. goal was to make a futuristic/realistic element. Not satisfied with the video rendering and some bugs on the big terminal (mostly self-illumination and some "rectangle" of pure grey particulary on the top), but i think i learned much of it.

Made around 20% of the modeling/texturing. Animation/Lights/Simulation/Post-Prod all done by me, though.
It was supposed to portray a "film noir" scene. Team wanted to make an abandonned child room.

Did you come up with this (position of objects and lighting) by yourself or you actually had something (a picture maybe) resembling it/for reference?

We got the child's room in "Don't be afraid of the dark" 's adaptation of Guillermo Del Toro.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1270761/?ref_=nv_sr_1 <- the movie
Modeling of big wooden objects (like the one with the mirror and the rotating lamp) where made in order to like the same "old" look we wanted to have like the movie. But the position of objects and lightning was my own work.

quite impressive, and the video was more exciting to watch than I thought since it was showing how detailed you made the whole thing look
