| Are they seriously building stuff like that in Dubai???  - Thats what the article says:
The world’s largest manmade lagoon is to be constructed in Dubai as part of the planned Mohammed Bin Rashid City - District One development. Headed by Meydan Group and Sobha Group through a joint venture, the $7bn residential development will centre on the newly-announced pool, designed by Crystal Lagoons.
At 40 hectares, the lagoon will be four times bigger than the current largest pool in the world at the San Alfonso del Mar resort in Chile. Once completed the Mohammad Bin Rashid City lagoon will provide unprecedented space for residents to swim, engage in water sports and relax.
Kevin P. Morgan, CEO of Crystal Lagoons explains: “Caribbean landscapes are no longer exclusive to tropical destinations. Our pioneering concept and state-of-the-art technology which allows for sustainable, swimmable, turquoise lagoons of unlimited sizes to be built and maintained at low cost anywhere in the world, is proving extremely popular with our growing list of partners across the Middle East.
“Dubai gives us an outstanding strategic position in the Middle East, and the opportunity to participate in a world-class development that adds prestige to our current project portfolio.”

| They are working on it alright. but i'm not expecting something that awesome to be available soon. Give it a few years. Actually its still progressing faster than normal projects. Dat government is rich as fuck @___@ Compare Dubai from 1991 to today. Then expect another boost in a somewhat shorter time interval. That is how its going to look after these projects have been completed :) | |

I give it 5-6 years...when they do something they do it well and fast...Compared to greece - Spoiler:
