Production: Ellines Nakama Author(s): TheGMSsj / ZoroIttoryu16 / AlchemistEskimo / InvisibleBlack / 995Gabber Anime source(s): Shingeki No Kyojin / Saint Seiya: Lost canvas / Kill La Kill / Canaan / To Aru Majutsu No Index Audio Source: D.R.U.G.S - if you think this song is about you then it probably is Other credits: Voxyde Aka Rrez for the dragon intro, and GMS for the MEP intro :)
In general, the mep was enjoyable but i think it was like that more because of the song rather than your editing.
Let's start with my opinions :P
Part 1: It was the best part of the mep, the most enjoyable and IN-sync with the beats. Part 2: Nice flow but no sync :/ Part 3: Nice flow as well but some flaws here and there Part 4: Too many effects and really dark atmosphere Part 5: Nice flow but no sync :/
As for some constructive tips that would make your parts better:
Part 1: In first fast part it would be better if along with the flashes there were some shakes as well (like that one in the text which is a simple zoom in i assume). Slow part was good, in my opinion it would be better if you faded out the clip with the titan's face. Then starts the second fast part, there you could add a lot more scenes and instead of those flashes you could fade out or even use dark flashes so that you create the dark atmosphere that follows in the next part and also build up the flow of your vid since the song starts speeding up.
Part 2: Your part starts with the already built up pace of the song, you should follow that. If the previous person used flashes it would be better for you to use flashes as well, at least in the first seconds. Masks are good, the scenes at the background could have got more impact but it's still fine. Try to adjust the speed of your clips with that of the song, some zooms are fast then others are slow while the song's pace remains the same, that's the bad thing with anime openings :/ Flashes are not only used for transitions, you can add a flash and blur in the middle of the clip along with a shake to hit the beat while not changing scenes :) in the ending seconds of your part there are around 20 beats where you should have fucked everyone with shakes and probably zoom out of many clips (standard technique for these kind of beat sequences) At least you should have adjusted the flow of your clips, the video seems to follow the same pace while the song is completely different from before.
Part 3:Scenes were too random, zooming in and out of castles and static characters :/ Haven't watched the anime so i don't know what kind of scenes i contains but those in the end would definitely fit in the start as well.
Part 4: Too grainy at some times. Avoid that chroma keyed sky clip :P You used it in Vivi's mep as well ^^. Most beats are hit 2-3 frames later that when they are actually heard. Those gunshots you could have synced them with the beats too!
Part 5:Too RAW! In comparison with the other parts, this one is completely raw. There were some strong beats you could have hit even without using effects, though some flashes would harm no one..
In overall, avoid using clips of anime openings if you can't match them perfectly with the song and its pace. If you still insist on doing that, disable resampling and learn how to use the "Velocity" event in vegas so that you can fit it in (don't know if it exists in premiere too) :)
Yeah i know you did it too fast but still, these above should be mentioned anyways!

Thanks for taking the time Nik :) but i kinda didn't get it because 1- I'm a raw editor o_O ? and 2- Linear blur / zoom out and negative flashes to sync with the beats, i'm actually satisfied with the sync so i don't know what you mean exactly
A critique from MDL for the participants (in addition to good ol' Nik's critique. We have 2 now !!) :
Hello!
Not bad, some parts looked cooler than others, I'll just go through them track per track.
Track 1: It was okay, nothing outstanding but these white flashes were really aggressive and not really needed. (There were other means you could have used to follow the pace).
Track 2: One of the best part I think, some transitions weren't that clean maybe but overall it was quite nice Very Happy
Track 3: I didn't like this one, the cam moves were way too messy they were going anywhere without any logic and it didn't follow the pace of the song at all. This was too fast and rough for a calm build-up part like this. Moreover most of the transitions lacked in cleanliness, it needed more work and a better understanding of the song.
Track 4: The beginning looks like it's a bit low-paced but it becomes better throughout the part. It was a nice part but I think the last chorus needed a bit more impact. Well Canaan isn't that well cut for it maybe.
Track 5: My favourite with the Saint Seiya one, although there are a lot of flashes here too I think that it was quite a powerful finish Razz Good job
So yeah overall, a nice action mep, good luck for your next works and happy birthday to Zoro, he couldn't wait

Very well edited people, Pampouks was a little too extreme in my opinion. I have this principle about not commenting on each part apart (hue) and judge MEPs as a whole, thus I will say it could have been even better with some more effort/time, which only makes it even more amusing to me. And I know, I have weird fetishes.
I never thought people like STK etc would of watched maiks vids. but yh in general the mep was good, nice song, and my fave part was prob zoro's. you all did good tho I was suprised, good job

Overall I give this MEP a 8/10. I wouldn't say it was "Dragged down" by anything, more like it just "Could have been better" but that would make it something far beyond the expected result of a MEP with all the circumstances we had.
Positives: The amount of passion put into this was honorable, the atmosphere was quite amazing throughout the whole video, every part had its' flow done right, and sync/timing was also given the effort it deserved. Negatives: Little of the footage treatment + some FX
Track 1: Good work on the intro mate! Also quite the cool thing you made with these chains @ the action bit. (there was a watermark that I hid with blur, make sure not to leave watermarks behind) and the last clip had ghost frames. I know you're aware of the resample stuff and all, just thought I should point it out.
Track 2: Well done power house-san :) Epitome of passion? take a look at track 2 !! good flow, good footage treatment, and thanks for both the greenscreens you had in your part :D It contributed the MEP so much! Now what you could improve on is instead of just placing your clip @ the beat / audio moment, you can try and find the exact frame of the clip which will fit the most with the audio, Example would be 0:53 where you could have synced the explosion with the hardcore audio moment. Also you should play with brightness / anything to smoothen transitions up. Because things like the leaf @ 0:46 followed by that forest clip look rough (I added a flash to the forest scene to smoothen it up) so yea just try to keep it going smoothly :)
Track 3: I'm aware of all the circumstances you had, and i'm really grateful to you for joining the MEP and also doing a good part :) Camera was rough at times, but I trust that you're a professional when it comes to camera movements so ignore that. Only thing I found off was the "direction" of some zooms. (Omg you zoomed at the ovaries @ some clip xD)
Track 4: The pace @ the beginning might have been slower than it should have been, but that is nothing I would call negative, because there was a clear pace change @ when the audio pace changed as well, so that was honorable :) I just didn't like Color Key @ the sky, a mask would have been better.
Track 5: Well...... Hellow there.

track 1: same as MDL said + the bass line 0:31 could have been a good moment for beat sync or an effect, since the track was kinda slow.
track 2: again like MDL said, some parts weren't quite clean cause the pace is really too fast in some rotos, it's hard to appreciate, internal sync would have been cool.
track 3: 1:15 the roto transition isn't clean in term of perspective and coherence. the eye zoom at 1:21 was cool, though. the pre-chorus was quite powerful , 1:27 to 1:32 was much more agressive than the part at 1:25-1:27 which fits a lot better (hero alone, boss with his minions...). nice last image with the mic. :p
track 4: some unperfected flashes. the rotomask on the cloud felt a tad odd, maybe just have roto'd the character+foreground, then use blending mode to create more immersion with the sky and clouds ? the anime fits a lot the track.
track 5: felt it had a bit more of "opening lazyness at the beginning", but you made the crescendo quite well ! good intensity .
in such a short timespan, i think you guys are getting better over time. i'm really curious to see what you'll do on the next one with a bigger time limit, cause even that kind of birthday/rush mep felt nice for me, haha.
