Illidan looks great! but the text under "Illidan","World of Warcraft" is not readable (at least i cannot understand what it says) Still the blending is AWESOME!
Mewtwo is such a badass pokemon! You did a great avatar there! I'd prefer if the whole text "MewTwo" was kind of purple-ish (but with the T still being different) for better blending.
As for Ryan's pic it the quality is amazing but the text stands out too much :/ I think you missed the focal point with that being placed there...maybe another font and not that, big yet way too thin, letters would be better. Maybe if placing the first letter "A" behind the shoulder armor it would blend better. Also try blending the flares with the text, for example place some behind the text and others in front of it so that you get a depth of field thingy. Last but not least, avoid using the same flare more than once, and when you do change it a little bit (size, rotation, etc.) I'd suggest using similar flares that may look the same but actually they are different. ^^
The smudge and the latest sig look epic!! JUST EPIC!!!
