Subject: Local animation production? Thu Nov 24, 2016 3:30 pm
No this is not the lamest name for an editing team. I just didn't have another title.
Lately I've been trying to find out if there are successful examples of cartoon/animation production, other than japanese anime, and the big American companies like Walt Disney and pixar.
Is there, or was there, a decent, or promissing, attempt made in your country? and can i perhaps see some examples?
I do not know about whether or not Germany has made something like that, but as for the middle east; there was a Saudi Arabian company named ella, that had made multiple, pretty good, animation films (if i can say so myself) in 1992-1999, before it was forced to go into dormant state, because the Arabic market didn't know what investment meant, and the well produced films generated no revenue. But this year there was a new Saudi Arabian company, that has come about with their 1st film, which I couldn't watch, since i'm stuck in Germany, but it looks promising:
There is also a small production team in the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai, working on an Anime attempt, but to me it looks closer to Martin Mystery style, than anime:
And now I want to know about the situation in other parts of the world, for local productions need to be celebrated.
