I enjoyed this MEP as it brought nostalgia with it, but editing wise I have mixed feelings about it.
Warning, the following is going to be subjective, viewer discretion is advised:
While the song seems to allow random shounen editing, little was done to avoid adding generic, to the random shounen editing.
I realize that every editor did not create a generic part, when viewed individually, and that every part had it's little something to offer, but that's where the editor's touch stops.
The touch was overshadowed by 2 main factors, that just slammed the concept of "generic" on the whole MEP.
1st one being that every editor worked on their own, creating something that has nothing in common with the other parts, other than being shounen, so can you guess what stood out the most in the whole MEP? that's right, the fact that it's shounen, and while not all the parts were random, shounen editing is such a slippery slope, that 1 random part would slam the idea on the whole shounen MEP, and there were random parts.
2nd factor is the element of generic anime usage. Yes, before you freak out Heni, this excludes your D. Gray man part, and one might argue that it could exclude Soul Eater too, but that leaves more than half of the MEP, being overused generic anime. Do you get my point? It is hard to notice the editor's touch when we have these factors.
I don't think that this is a bad MEP, but I think it's unlucky.
Now in case you might have forgotten, I did say that everything in this comment is subjective, so I admit to that.
PS: Honor the MEP for having InvisibleBlack in it.
