Here is a tutorial for chroma keyer since Syrk asked for it...
Ok so let's say we got this clip and we want to mask the green region so that another clip can be shown in the back.If the region we want to mask is clear and we got only one colour in the bg we want to mask we can use chroma keyer instead of masking it in pan/crop

So we go to video fx -> chroma keyer and we drop in the clip any of the effects that are shown in the chroma keyer effect tab (it doesn't really matters since you will edit this later)

Now click on this tool i am pointing in the pic and then go click in the colour that you wanna mask (which is green in this example)

And because it's not so good you can play with the threshold until you have the result you want....

Well it always depends on the clip you wanna mask , some can be masked easily with chroma keyer without any flaws and some need more work....But still i am not sure if you can mask with chroma keyer unless the background you want to is a solid color....
