maybe I say maaaaybe you guys kinda pwned us in this contest :p

The mep was awesome guys!! Definitely better than ours. Now what i didn't like was the black bars in the Shingeki part and in some parts the effects were unnecessary in my opinion.What i liked was how manga panels/drawings were used in Gab's part and Redangel part, it really stood out for me and it would have made the whole mep more awesome if there were manga scenes in all parts. Anyways, pretty solid job guys.  Btw,is Band of the hawk a group with which you will do future meps? If it is, I'm interested in seeing what you can make outside IC's
Ps: That picture you linked in the description in the band of the hawk channel made me laugh a lot xD

Yup, well technically we're just a skype group chat xD but we love working together very much. This is our 1st MEP and we are definitely gonna make more :)

MDS girls manga part really was nice, lacked a bit of sync here n there nd I dno how I'de do that so I won't judge too much.
but I was impressed mep was nice, maybe the end of the berserker part was a bit iffy for me with the repeated scene but didn't have any major gripes with it.

Anyway let's see what i can say here...

Part 1: Overall pretty nice part! I'm not a fan of eye-transitions and mostly when the eye is completely cropped :/ Just reduce its opacity on some parts and fade it out smoothly, don't cut it out.

Part 2: Nice part. It didn't lack anything but it was also not something special. You too should be careful with mask that make the transitions stand out too much (that circle thing at the start)

Part 3: Good flow, nice colors and those manga pics really fit well! BUT, why did you add those black bars? (gab just told me that you didn't add them, but you had to adjust your ending parts so that they fit his nooby scene selection -_-) They definitely should NOT be there.. at least not in that way.. there are about 5-6 consecutive beats and you tried to sync them with the bars coming in. That alone is not enough, try adding gaussian or linear blur there (horizontal, not vertical so you don't ruin the bars' borders) and sync them all with the beats. some general camera shakes would be a good addition too (by general i mean by doing it in the video track, not the clip pan/crop movement factor).

Part 4: Those black bars again -_- They are really big and make it harder to feel the flow and impact of the scenes! (what is that aspect ratio? 16:4 -_- ?) Anywayzzz, when you sync a scene event (like a sword slash) with the beat then let the viewer feel it! keep the scene showing a little more after the beat (and add some blur coming in and then fading out, like you don't believe in your eyes!) and change it with a smooth fade, do not change the scene right after the slash since the eye cannot catch up :/ Or if you do it your way, then start the 2nd scene earlier so you hit the beat on that scene and keep it for a longer time(first time i watched it, it seemed like you missed 2 beats @ 2.06-2.08)

Part 5: Magi has got a unique animation in my opinion which not match futuristic-like video FX. up to 2.30 you were amazing! you should have changed the scene right after the first beat after the mask. then somehow you lost the sync with those face-punches :/ Try choosing scenes with the same pace/speed in the events shown. Also try to keep certain clips for less time, especially if there's nothing happening there :/

Part 6: Good part but i think you should have a bigger variety of scenes and some blurs would be good too for impact :) (better quality footage is a must though)

Overall, really good MEP. I'd give it a 7-8 out of 10 :) And gomen if i was harsh on some of you :) (i know it's all gab's fault...)

And for that eye mask, i tried fading in the pupil of the eye at first but it just didn't fit imo so i removed it. Guess it didn't turn out exactly as i imagined it haha, will be better next time o/

thnx pamp san ~~ i never really experimented with blurs so ill work on tht for the next one~~ also i used 1080 footage xD... but i think my cc kinda ruined it lol. as for variety, well i was tryin to make scenes tht fit with the lyrics rather than anythin else but ill work on tht next time~~

yh... tbh at tht point i was kinda burnin out and had no clue wot to do with all the beats haha, so i used the method of "place random shit to the beats to see it if its fine" lol xD. but next time ill try to think a little more outside the box lets say

As for the MEP, sadly, I can't say that I particulary enjoyed it, had its moments but they were few. Not because of the editing -which was very decent, especially for an IC-, but the song and anime selection were not inspiring to me. All the best with the contest though!
