AKROSS Con 2013

The first bit of news for the con has been announced today in the forum and their confirmed date is a later than usual:

AKROSS project officially announce 12th International AMV Contest "AKROSS Con 2013"! The event will be held right here on our site from October 2013 to January 2014.

Any editor can participate, but only videos never displayed before will be accepted. Official dates and rules will be available at a later time (you may use last year's rules for reference).

Registration will begin on October, 1. Approximate deadline for entries - December, 15.

It's my first time staring at an AKROSS scoreboard and my question is: Isn't it a little weird that the points spike so much in the top 10? I mean come on, difference of 100 points between places 6 and 7? First place will reach 1,5k or something if they go on like this, which makes me kinda troubled on whether they are rating with favourites or not.

That massive spike did seem odd but I still think the point system is reasonably solid except some. Then again there are some placements that I though were pretty dumb.
