New ENP seasonal event? [Discussion]

As the title says. I've been thinking of a new type of Ellines Nakama event (like the internal tournament you guys used to have every summer). However this is not a battle or any other form of "competition" It is more like an experiment where we do a MEP using real movies for our footage source. The purpose is to help each individual to grow as an editor, and for the team to expand its' abilities (and maybe, just maybe audience as well). A MEP shall be done from time to time (a fixed date/occasion shall be discussed in case this event is to be accepted), and every time we'll be changing our movies' genre. Like 1 time we do 1 about Marvel characters, another we mix marvel and DC? then we make 1 with environments similar to 300 / Immortals / Prince of Persia. Etc etc.
That's all there is to it for now. Do we consider this event sometime? no? Tell me.

We don't have an amv event and we gonna have a movie event?Your idea is not bad but for another time when we settle.other things that have priority,after the leadership is settled.

i don't know how easy something like that would be but i agree with the idea of having a special event

The leadership issue was being discussed since... forever. So I thought I could just go ahead and focus on something else to maintain a lively atmosphere.
And not sure if it's easy. More like an obstacle we'll be facing at 1st since it is different from the usual form of videos we do, but i'm sure it won't be a meaningless effort.

there is no limit to how many events we can have. If you guys want AMV events then sure. We'll think of something, but I was thinking of experimenting with something rather new for us. Like this movie thingy. Or we could have battles of kinetic typography (that's right. to improve the after effects fields) so many things we could do actually.

I'm down with an event but I'm not sure about how well amv editing will blend with live action material. It is an interesting idea though.

not blending. for once we'll stop being AMV authors :P and focus on other fields to edit

maybe instead of movies this can work with cinematic game footage(a MEP would be a really good idea i think)

Only games I play are Red Alert and Bioshock. But yea whatever makes everyone happy can be done :)
