Sony Vegas though

Okay just installed 12 and wow the simplicity of using movie maker to vegas is crazy but i love it though cant wait to start some projects after i get use to affects etc :D

You have my blessings. Now it's time to slowly see the time it takes to edit a project slowly double, triple, grow furthermore until you decide to start cutting yourself to balance things out and forget this misery :/

Dude comparing movie maker to vegar pro is like comparing simple Milk with A Chocolate cake.. Had the same experience when installed vegas but a friend of mine who uses vegas for a long time advised me to use the vegas pro 10 and definetely not 12  ^^

Vegas 10 is much more stable version compared to the next ones. I would recommend that one. And vegas is yet a simple program compared to after effects so take your time and you will eventually master it.

it feels like some things are to complicated for how simple it really could be don't know if its just something i should just keep trying at or is Vegas 10 something i should download first and get good at that before getting anywhere with 12 i got 12 because jamlaks uses it and if he likes it ill probably like it to so any reasons why most of you guys prefer vegas 10 over 12

Don't even think that the interface changes with 10, it's basically the exact same with 12, so it's not easier to use or anything. Not being very knowledgeable about the exact details, I prefer 12 because you can zoom in/out your masks without having to re-do them. If people are saying 10 is better, it is for reasons like less crashes, less problems/bugs and stuff like that, which I am not particulary concerned about.
If your friend is so adamant about using 10, feel free to, I wouldn't know since I am noob at programming/pc knowledge in general. Tbh, at this time I have a 32-bit pc and I use 10 solely because the torrent I have for 12 was for 64-bit and I can't say I see much difference, they feel like the exact same program to me.
